Fall for Greenville, SC at this Beloved Annual Festival

It’s once again time for Bank of America’s Fall for Greenville festival, presented by Pepsi. This year marks the 41st year the event has taken place in the bustling city of Greenville, SC.

Fall for Greenville centers the festival around three key pillars: taste, taps, and tunes. With over 50 restaurants and food trucks offering over 250 menu items, live entertainment performances spread out on seven stages, and the Carolina Ale House Beer Garden and CenterWell Senior Primary Care Wine Garden; the festival certainly offers ample opportunities to enjoy all things the “three t’s” promise attendees. You can purchase taste tickets to experience the event for yourself directly on their website.

The festival will kick off on Thursday, October 13 at 5pm on the CPI Security West End Stage, located at the intersection of Main Street and Augusta Street. The free admission pre-event concert features musical acts by Andrew Crawford and Brandi Colt, Haley Mae Campbell and Chapel Hart.

Concert-goers might recognize Chapel Hart from the popular TV Show, “America’s Got Talent” where they placed in the final top 5 of the show’s latest season. The festival has seen many acts come through on the brink of stardom; and emphasizes that this is a great opportunity to see Chapel Hart as they face their new success.

Although Fall for Greenville has been enjoyed by Greenville locals and visitors for 41 years; there are a few new additions to look forward to in 2022.

This year, all of the festival's food trucks will be moved to West McBee Street at the MAU at BMW Food Truck Row. This new location will bring food trucks together to create a new and improved atmosphere, offering nearly 10 food trucks and a variety of cuisines with high top tables, and a specific beer and wine location.

According to Anna Catherine Miller, the Sales and Marketing Manager for the City of Greenville Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism, “The new food truck location is meant to increase atmosphere and create a new, exciting space to gather and enjoy food.”

While enjoying bites and brews, festival-goers can choose from seeing over 80 national, regional, and local bands perform live across their seven-stage set up. The line-up includes Grammy-nominated folk and blues singer Valerie June, Strand of Oaks, Hotel Fiction, Della Mae and many more.

The City of Greenville is thrilled to support such a large and widely-beloved event that creates an atmosphere which allows the people of the community and beyond to come together and truly enjoy the beauty, culinary scene, and entertainment that Greenville has to offer.

Another great festival feature? You don’t have to leave the kids at home! The Visual Comfort & Co. Kids’ Area, located on Broad Street, features fun-filled inflatables and rides for kids; offering something fun for every member of the family to enjoy.

What many people don’t realize is that the benefits that come out of Fall for Greenville last all year long. Over the past 15 years, Fall for Greenville has donated over $700,000 to more than 30 different local charities through event proceeds, the Fall for Giving Grant and the Greenville Technical College Volunteer Beneficiary Program, which will benefit 11 local nonprofits this year. Designed by the Fall for Greenville Board of Directors, the Fall for Giving Grant supports local nonprofit organizations whose projects and missions align with the festival’s including: culinary and food, cultural diversity, family and music.

Not only that but, Fall for Greenville sponsors the Fall for Greenville Culinary Arts Endowed Scholarship at the Greenville Technical College.

Fall for Greenville would not be made possible without its 2,000 hardworking volunteers. If interested, volunteers are still being accepted for 3-4 hour shifts throughout the upcoming weekend.

All volunteers will receive a Bank of America Fall for Greenville volunteer shirt, along with an entire sheet of tickets for each shift. In addition, if you work four shifts or more, you also receive free parking. Visit their website here for more volunteering information.

Trent Hawk, the Board Chair of the Fall for Greenville Board of Trustees, shares the board’s excitement, “The Fall for Greenville Board of Trustees is excited to celebrate our 41st Bank of America Fall for Greenville presented by Pepsi.
